The 2015/16 academic year marks the 50th Anniversary of St Helen’s Primary School, being located on its current site in Alveston.
To celebrate this occasion, the whole school community is concentrating its efforts on raising the funds to build a brand new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) on the site of a redundant outdoor swimming pool. We aim to mark this special year, by transforming an area of our school site and leaving something for future generations of children in Alveston to enjoy.
To build a MUGA which enables:
Our aim is to complete the fundraising over the course of our 50th year, with the MUGA to be built during the summer holidays in 2016.
To achieve this, our fundraising goal is £70,000. We’re hoping to reach this target through a mixture of grant funding, school, PTA and individual donations.
We’d like to ask you or your company/organisation to help us turn our dream into a reality. There are a variety of ways that you can get involved:
Please click here to sign up to receive updates on news and events over the year as we look to celebrate our 50 year anniversary and raise money for this exciting development.
We are looking for some companies and organisations who could make a significant donation to our Project fund. We are happy to come and present to a board meeting, community group or send you further information to help you in making a decision to support us.
We want to create an amazing paved area leading up to the MUGA and we’re looking for organisations to sponsor a brick. You’ll get your name engraved onto a brick which will be laid on the entrance to the MUGA!
Are you running the London Marathon? Do you like baking? Why not think about raising some money for our new MUGA by asking people to sponsor you, or putting on your own fundraising event. We’ve got our own ‘Just Giving’ page which will help with managing donations and will publicise your event to the school community.
We’ll be adding more information to this page over the next few weeks, but please get in contact with us with any questions or for further information.
